Counseling, Support and Education at Narconon
Counseling at Narconon is provided to participants while they are nurtured by family and friends during the rehabilitation program. The counseling helps to develop a new sense of self-worth for the participant. The complete counseling support structure assists the participant encouraging them to complete the program and successful remain in recovery from drugs and alcohol for the remainder of their lives. Each successful step completed by participants in the program begins to develop a higher level of self-esteem which is the result of successful counseling and education during recovery. Subsequently the participant gains a new sense of confidence in their ability to live a drug-free as they become prepared to face the challenges of their life with powerful self-control, self-worth and self-esteem.
In many rehabilitation program the stay at the recovery center is short and participants can find themselves released without many of the crucial tools needed to remain drug and alcohol free. Unfortunately they can find themselves back in the same situation they left behind when they entered treatment. In combination with counseling, educational programs allow the participant to consolidate and focus the power to successfully move through the rehabilitation process.

Various individuals and groups must work together and concentrate their resources in order to help the participant move from what could possibly be the lowest level of their life into a more positive and productive future. The skills the participant has learned and developed in rehabilitation, as well as the support roles of family members will give the former addict a real fighting chance of remaining in recovery and drug-free.
