Role of Diet and Sleep in Increasing Height
Long height is major issue in teenagers. To have a naturally long height, proper diet and sleep is essential along with exercises. As for diet- a low carbohydrate and fat free diet must be consumed as they switch off the growth hormone.
Foods with high fat contents like pizzas, burgers, chips and fried foods should be avoided as they lead to obesity. Due to obesity a person appear to be shorter. Even soft drinks like Pepsi, coke etc also contributes to obesity. Even coffee and other drinks with caffeine in them must also be avoided. Calcium is very important for growth of bones and thus drinks with high phosphate should be avoided as they lead to calcium excretion in urine thus hindering height increase.

Sound sleep is also essential for growth. The growth hormone which is released by master gland that is the pituitary gland is released during sleep as is at maximum concentration after one hour of the sleep. Proper sleep of 8-9 hours is essential for increasing height naturally. Deep sleep can be induced by a comfy mattress, dim room and relaxed mind. These factors along with good posture help an individual in growing taller naturally.
